Scouting is about raising young men to be self‑sufficient, hard‑working, and civic‑minded leaders. At Troop 48, the boys run the show. It’s their program, their troop, their ideas. Adult leaders are there for guidance, logistics, and safety — not to take over.
And yes, we have a lot of fun along the way:
We’re looking for boys ages 11–15 who want to check us out. We’re also welcoming parents who don’t mind hanging out with us while we supervise a bunch of teenage boys acting like… well, teenage boys.

Scouts will post a 3' x 5' waterproof flag in your yard before 9 AM and will pick it up before dusk. This subscription will include these four holidays; Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day.
